I’m so pleased to share with you a partnership between Wesley Bros Comics and United Methodist Communications! The Wesleys Take the Web is a series of three one-minute videos are meant to be a 21-st century update to the 1984 Clayride Animation, introducing new audiences to a quick overview of the heritage and spirit of Methodism.
If you’re a long-time fan of Wesley Bros or new to the webcomic, I could use your help. Share these videos on social media, they’re a minute long so you can share them on Instagram as well as Facebook. They’re meant to help you talk about Methodism with others, and we’ve created a page of discussion questions you can use. You can show the videos as a break during New Member classes, send them as messages to your Confirmation class during the week to keep them thinking about what they’re learning. Let me know how you use the videos, and with any luck, we can create some more in the future.
Be sure to visit the official page at www.UMC.org/wesleybros and subscribe to United Methodist Communications on Youtube to get updates when their cool new videos come out.
Here’s a pic of some of the team (L to R): Thanks to Fran Walsh and her team for imagining and producing the videos, and the voices of John & Charles: Henry Haggard and Josh Childs (The Chuck Knows Church guy!), animators Johnathan Richter and Beaux Latham (not pictured), I’m the guy on the far right of the picture.
