I’ve begun a sabbatical and will not be posting new comics again until after Easter 2025. But I will continue to share on Patreon for those of you who continue to contribute here. I’m using this time to learn and improve techniques in art. This past week, I’ve been learning a new digital art program, Clip Studio Paint, which I’m hoping to get good enough at to make it my usual program instead of Adobe Photoshop. I’ve also been working on perspective and background drawing, neither of which are my strong suits, but are so important in visual storytelling. So I’ve been practicing on a bedroom/office, one that is meant to tell visually what I’m thinking and feeling during this season. Each poster conveys my hopes and frustrations with the current state of the world, but I also wanted the room to feel lived in and cozy, a safe haven for expression and exploring ideas, beliefs, and values.
