If you’ve ever been in a meeting, you’ve been in THIS meeting.  Just in time for Annual Conference season.  There is no one more annoying than the person who stands at the microphone and insists that they are right and everyone else is nuts.

By the way, John Wesley DID make everyone bend to his brilliant will.  He was a top-down type of leader, (which the United Methodist Church is decidedly NOT), which is usually why brilliant people start their own organizations when they feel like they can’t make a real change in their own.
