95 Problems But a Wench Ain’t One

Celebrate the Protestant Reformation!  In 1517, Martin Luther protested the use of indulgences (payment for penance) and the concept that looking upon relics relieved sin, arguing that God’s grace and forgiveness is free.  Then, the pope was one of the wealthiest people on earth, and Luther argued that he should use his own wealth to fund the construction of St. Peter’s Basilica, not the money from the poor (paid through indulgences).  But today’s pope is totally legit, so maybe we should just all be Catholic again and forget this messy past 500 years of denominationalism and war.
