Don’t worry, 90% of everyone who does seminary wonders at the end of their first (week/semester/year) whether they understood their calling right. I had a lot of fun flipping through my old notes (7 years since I took Early Church History!) to pull out the most annoying terms you hear your first year at seminary. You’ll never need to use them again unless you are a professor. But that doesn’t mean you don’t need to learn them, so suck it up!

Hi CF, I can almost hear your voice when I read this. It is new student orientation this week at Asbury Theological Seminary…I love all those words stirring in the wind behind her and nearly knocks her over…”The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.” Psalm 29:5
And I love that she is a “her” …thanks…
